48th anniversary of "Džemal Bijedić" University in Mostar

The program marking an important jubilee, the 48th anniversary of the existence, work and activities of the "Džemal Bijedić" University in Mostar, will be organized in the period from 10 to 15 February 2025. As part of the University's anniversary, numerous events will be organized that will bring together University employees and students, retired employees, and guests and guests from the academic, social and political life of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The program will begin on February 10th with the traditional remembrance of historical figures and great figures, Džemal Bijedić, after whom the University is named, and Midhad Hujdur Hujka, after whom the university sports and recreation center where the Džemal Bijedić University in Mostar is located, is named. On the same day, the University management will organize a ceremonial reception of retired employees, and express gratitude for the many years of successful work at the Džemal Bijedić University in Mostar.

A day later, on February 11, the University's publishing activities will be promoted, and as part of the sports part of the program, a table tennis tournament for students will be organized.

The next day, February 12th, is dedicated to the promotion of scientific research and international projects implemented at the Džemal Bijedić University in Mostar, while on February 13th, the promotion of new PhDs will be held.

The ceremonial session of the Senate of the “Džemal Bijedić” University in Mostar, as an extremely important event that will bring together guests and guests from academic, social and political life, will be held on February 14 in the amphitheater of the Faculty of Humanities of the “Džemal Bijedić” University in Mostar. At the ceremonial session of the Senate, the successes and achievements of the previous year will be summarized and presented, and plans for the next year will be announced. Also, the Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Alena Huseinbegović, will present plaques for professors who have earned the title of full professor at the University in the past year, letters of gratitude from the University for their exceptional contribution to the development of the “Džemal Bijedić” University in Mostar and the affirmation of the University’s reputation in the country and abroad, as well as the Rector’s awards to the best students of the “Džemal Bijedić” University in Mostar.
