The Department of Sports and Health of the Faculty of Education in Mostar is an educational and scientific research institution that has fundamental scientific disciplines in the field of kinesiology. The Department of Sports and Health develops all professional areas that involve the development of sports and health, its national identity and especially the development of the scientific field that today enables efficient, planned and useful scientific activity with the intention of describing, clarifying and as soon as possible predicting the transformation of professional issues, dilemmas, problems, concepts and methods known in the world when it comes to the science of sports and health.

The Department of Sports and Health operates in consideration of:
