Decisions on the acceptance of topics for the preparation of diploma theses and amendments to point I of the decision on the acceptance of topics

Attached is the following:



1. Decision on the acceptance/adoption of topics for the preparation of diploma theses in the second cycle/graduate study at the Department of Chemistry for the academic year 2023/2024;

2. Decision on amending point I of the decision on accepting/adopting topics for the preparation of diploma theses in the second cycle/graduate study at the Department of Classroom Teaching for the academic year 2023/2024;

3. Decision on amending point I of the decision on accepting/adopting topics for the preparation of diploma theses in the second cycle/graduate study at the Department of Sport and Health for the academic year 2023/2024;



To submit a topic you need:



· completed form for submitting the thesis topic - 4 copies signed by the Vice-Dean for Education, mentor and candidate (3 copies go to the Faculty of Education protocol after the student receives confirmation from the student services about the final semester enrollment, and 1 copy directly to the mentor);



· explanation of the thesis topic - 4 copies signed by the mentor and the candidate with the candidate's biography (3 copies go to the Faculty of Education protocol after the student receives confirmation from the student services about the enrollment in the final semester, and 1 directly to the mentor) ;



· confirmation of enrollment in the final semester of the II cycle - 4 copies (taken from the student service - no online application is submitted);

Application for approval of the thesis topic

Article 19.

(1) The student chooses the thesis topic after the end of the first semester of the one-year study programs. i.e. after the end of the third semester of two-year study programs.

(2) For the chosen topic, the student, in cooperation with the mentor, completes and submits a written application to the Faculty Council (attachment) containing the following:

a) candidate's biography;

b) title and working structure;

c) the topic and working hypotheses of the paper, or the presentation of the topic, project or exhibition;

d) explanation of the thesis topic;

e) a brief presentation of the content of individual chapters;

f) methodological notes;

g) list of references.

(3) The completed and signed application is certified and placed in the student's file.

(4) After submitting the topic, the Faculty Council appoints a Commission for the evaluation and defense of the thesis, consisting of three members, at least two of whom are from the scientific field from which the thesis topic is, and one member of the Commission is the mentor.

(5) In addition to the members of the Commission referred to in paragraph 4 of this article, the faculty council appoints one substitute member of the Commission, who will perform the function of a member of the Commission in the event of justified incapacity of one of the members of the Commission.

(6) The student can change the topic of the thesis once, no later than within 30 days from the date of approval of the first topic.

(7) The vice-dean for teaching and the head of the study program are responsible for the regularity of the selection of topics for the thesis.
